Kurunegala Plantations Limited (KPL) is a fully government-owned plantation management company, that currently operates under the purview of the Ministry of Plantation Industries. KPL’s core business interests is cultivation, production,
processing and sale of coconut, rubber and ancillary crops. The company provides direct employment to over 1,000 people and indirectly impacts the livelihood of many others.

KPL is one of the best government-owned highly diversified coconut-based plantation management company covering Gampaha, Kurunegala and Anuradhapura districts which gives over 15 million Coconuts per annum. Coconut is by far the largest income provider for the company accounting for 74% of the total income.

COFFEE

Normandy Jungle  Coffee originates from an abounded coffee estate called “Normandy” presently known as Wijayapura situated in Kurunegala District. The estate was planted by Scottish planters in 1920, lies at 804m height on Rantatikanda Mountain range.
